I'm on the biz trip to Tokyo. This trip does not make me happy for Fukushima disaster. It's raining here. Is the rain in tokyo radioactive? I worry.

Body Got Worse /
My body is getting worse, more that ever. Both knees hurt if I climb a stair. Left one is worse. Let alone knee problem, overall physical condition is very low and I'm taking prescriptions for a month.

My Office Moved /

My office moved to a research center building. It's rather a factory like facility. Office move is very tiresome activity. I got totally tired.

그저께 마루에서 곯아떨어졌다. 아니나다를까, 지금 목이 탱탱부은 상태. 감기다.
HO는 요즘 하모니카를 불고 있다. 어린이날 선물로 받은 하모니카. 그렇게 좋은가?
오월, 힘든달. 특히 올 오월은 정말 힘들게 보내고 있다.

[Scrap] VS Naipaul's Rules for Beginning Writer
노벨문학상 수상자인 VS Naipaul의 글쓰기 원칙
VS Naipaul is a Nobel laureate in literature, 2001. He gave a following guide to beginning writers in his book, The humour & the pity: Essays on V.S. Naipaul. Wow, it's exact same principles I've learnt while writing papers. It's a prominent characteristics of western culture, which we can discover in both seemingly distant worlds - literature and science.
간결하게 쓰라. 그리고 계속 써라.

Wow, it's exact same principles I've learnt while writing papers. It's a prominent characteristics of western culture, which we can discover in both seemingly distant worlds - literature and science.
VS Naipaul’s Rules for Beginners
1. Do not write long sentences. A sentence should not have more than ten or twelve words.
2. Each sentence should make a clear statement. It should add to the statement that went before. A good paragraph is a series of clear, linked statements.
3. Do not use big words. If your computer tells you that your average word is more than five letters long, there is something wrong. The use of small words compels you to think about what you are writing. Even difficult ideas can be broken down into small words.
4. Never use words whose meaning you are not sure of. If you break this rule you should look for other work.
5. The beginner should avoid using adjectives, except those of colour, size and number. Use as few adverbs as possible.
6. Avoid the abstract. Always go for the concrete.
7. Every day, for six months at least, practice writing in this way. Small words; short, clear, concrete sentences. It may be awkward, but it’s training you in the use of language. It may even be getting rid of the bad language habits you picked up at the university. You may go beyond these rules after you have thoroughly understood and mastered them.

Surgery /

I got a forearm surgery at April 6th. I was in the hospital for four days for the surgery and treatments. I took general anasthesia for the first time which I was quite afraid of. It was strange experience that I woke up to find out my arm bandagged.
HM was busy this week. So most of time I was alone in hospital. Though the pain was light and there's almost no need to be looked after, it was little sad frankly. Looking other patients and their spouses and feeling the injection needle in my left arm made me blue. HM, I missed you.
